Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Fleet Operations Coordinator to manage the logistics of our Palletised Express Branch in Melbourne, AU.

About the Role:

  • Oversee and plan the pickup/delivery resources to ensure seamless execution of transportation operations.
  • Collaborate with Fleet Supervisors/Fleet Manager to maintain safety, operational, and financial performance of the transport operation.
  • Maintain systems and standards to guarantee compliance with company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Coordinate driver workforce planning and execute day-to-day pickup/delivery tasks to meet customer expectations.
  2. Support operation on a day-to-day basis by making informed decisions based on business objectives and allocating resources for cost-effectiveness.
  3. Develop knowledge of other functions within the fleet office to support the team when necessary.
  4. Ensure all staff on site are properly inducted and trained by coordinating with onsite compliance coordinator before commencing duties.
  5. Collaborate with other fleet controllers, general pickups, and delivery requirements on an ad-hoc basis with OSH partners.
  6. Guarantee that all administration systems, procedures, and policies are understood and followed to protect the company's legal, financial, and statutory position.
  7. Provide daily reporting to customers regarding delivery/pickup performance.
  8. Maintain a basic understanding of legislative compliance requirements (inclusive of environmental) that impact the business.
  9. Ensure adherence to site WHS by conducting regular safety conversations, toolbox meetings, identifying hazards, and escalating them accordingly.
  10. Properly utilize driver TDA units to track driver fatigue and movements.
  11. Preliminary incident reporting should be entered in TRAC within 24 hours and escalated appropriately.
  12. Work closely with Fleet Supervisors/Manager to resolve service issues in a timely manner and provide support to customers as needed.
