Teaching Associate Opportunity in Occupational Therapy
Monash University's Department of Occupational Therapy is seeking to appoint sessional Teaching Associates. We are looking for registered occupational therapists to join our team of Practice Educators in the Department of Occupational Therapy at Monash University.
As a Teaching Associate, you will have the opportunity to work with occupational therapy students in a variety of fieldwork settings, including aged care facilities, kindergartens, primary schools, physical and vocational rehabilitation, telehealth practice, and community mental health programs.
Key responsibilities include providing occupational therapy placement-based education, facilitating student learning and development, and contributing to the development of educational resources.
We are seeking individuals with a minimum of two years professional practice experience since graduation, and prior experience of providing occupational therapy placement-based education is desirable.
Professional practice experience in one or more of the specific practice areas listed above is preferred, but not essential. Flexible schedules will be considered depending on the type and duration of student placements.
A Working with Children Check (WWCC) is required. Depending on the nature of the placement sites, a National Disability Insurance Scheme Worker Screening Check (NDIS Check) may also be required.
