We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Financial Hardship Officer. This role involves providing empathetic and effective assistance to vulnerable customers experiencing financial or personal hardship.
The ideal candidate will have experience in mortgage and/or auto collections, with a focus on late-stage collections and litigation handling. They should also have proven ability to manage hardship cases with a focus on both recovery and customer experience.
As a Financial Hardship Officer, you will be responsible for conducting phone calls to manage arrears accounts and resolving them promptly. You will also prepare customer communications and maintain reporting registers with a focus on achieving collections targets.
You will work closely with the Collections Manager to escalate adverse trends and ensure adherence to internal procedures and external regulatory requirements.
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual who is passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and exceeding expectations.
Required Skills and Qualifications- 5+ years of experience in mortgage and/or auto collections
- Demonstrated experience in late-stage collections and litigation handling
- Proven ability to manage hardship cases with a focus on both recovery and customer experience
- Strong negotiation skills that maintain positive customer relationships
- Excellent time management and self-motivation to meet deadlines
- Hybrid working model: work from home up to 3 days per week
