Salary Package

  • A competitive salary package of up to $115,000 per annum, including salary packaging benefits of up to $15,899 per FBT year.

About the Role

">

As an Operational Director for Community Housing, you will play a crucial role in implementing our organisation's operational strategy, managing operational budgets, meeting financial and operational targets, and providing regular reports on performance, budget, risks, and compliance.

In this position, you'll employ an empowering leadership approach, providing coaching and mentoring to foster a culture of growth and effectiveness among team members. Reporting to the Chief Operations Officer, you'll be responsible for translating strategic goals into actionable plans and guiding teams to achieve key objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement operational strategies to drive business growth and improvement.
  • Manage operational budgets, ensuring effective resource allocation and maximising returns.
  • Provide regular reports on performance, budget, risks, and compliance, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Foster a culture of growth and effectiveness among team members, through coaching, mentoring, and empowerment.

Requirements

">
  • Substantial experience in the Housing and Homelessness sector, including collaboration with governmental and non-governmental entities.
  • Qualifications in business management or significant leadership experience in community services.
  • Proficient knowledge of policy, process, and procedure related to Housing Access & Demand.
  • Strong reporting and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Demonstrated experience in identifying and managing risks effectively, with a strong focus on compliance and governance.
  • Excellent negotiation and conflict resolution abilities, with a proven track record in achieving quality outcomes.
