
Strategic People Leader

We are currently seeking an experienced and proactive Human Resources Manager to join our high-performing team and support our operations through strategic HR initiatives hands-on advisory and continuous improvement. Reporting directly to the General Manager HR & HSEQ you will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing key HR strategies that align with the company's strategic business plan.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Develop implement and maintain HR policies procedures and guidelines in line with legislation and company objectives.
- Provide guidance and coaching to managers on recruitment onboarding performance management and employee relations.
- Lead end-to-end recruitment processes support retention initiatives and maintain strong agency partnerships.
- Assist with organisational development programs including succession planning training coordination team building and performance reviews.
- Ensure effective reward and recognition programs are in place including salary benchmarking and performance appraisal facilitation.
- Manage or support HR training workshops on key topics such as performance management diversity and industrial relations.
- Lead or assist in investigations grievance resolution and disciplinary matters ensuring fair process and minimal risk.
- Collaborate with managers and union representatives to manage industrial relations matters and support enterprise bargaining agreements.
- Monitor HR KPIs prepare reports for leadership and identify trends to inform continuous improvement and change initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with relevant awards EBAs and employment legislation including privacy EEO and diversity requirements.
- Maintain strong relationships across the organisation acting as a trusted advisor and promoting a culture of open communication and high performance.
Skills & Experience for Success:
- Human Resources Expertise: 3-5 years of demonstrated experience as a Human Resources Generalist with broad exposure across the full employee lifecycle.
- Standalone Role Capability: Proven ability to operate autonomously in a standalone HR capacity within a multi-site organisational structure (experience in this area is highly regarded).
- Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of Australian employment legislation industrial relations and contemporary HR practices.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and maintain effective working relationships across all levels of the organisation.
- Customer-Centric Approach: High level of internal client focus combined with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
- Communication Proficiency: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly and professionally.
- Administrative Excellence: Strong administrative and organisational skills with a demonstrated commitment to quality accuracy and attention to detail.
- Results-Driven: Ability to work effectively in high-pressure fast-paced environments delivering consistent results while managing competing priorities.
