The Opportunity

We're seeking an experienced Senior Sous or Sous Chef to lead our kitchen team at Maison Bàtard. As a leader, you'll be responsible for establishing high standards of quality, consistency, and efficiency in our back-of-house operations. Your guidance will be crucial in setting the stage for long-term success.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Experience as a Senior Sous or Sous Chef in a premium a-la-carte restaurant">
  • Demonstrated success in leading a high-performing team">
  • Passion for global cuisine trends">
  • Understanding of financial budgets, food, and labour costs">
  • Knowledge of kitchen operations, inventory management, and food safety standards">
  • Able to build and maintain effective relationships">
  • A proactive, problem-solving attitude with a commitment to continuous learning">
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to remain composed under pressure">
  • An outgoing personality and genuine interest in daily operations">
  • Qualification in Commercial Cookery or equivalent">
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite">
  • Availability to work a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays">
