About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Records Officer to join our team at the Women's and Children's Health Network. As a Medical Records Officer, you will be responsible for contributing to an efficient and effective Medical Record and Patient Registration service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Working as part of a multi-skilled team to provide a comprehensive and high-quality patient registration and reception service.
  • Contributing to the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to medical records and patient registration.
  • Providing excellent customer service to patients, families, and healthcare providers.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records in accordance with relevant legislation and guidelines.
  • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • Sound communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with consumers, staff, and external agencies.
  • A high level of knowledge and understanding of the principles of confidentiality and information security in a health setting.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to providing high-quality customer service.
