As an Enterprise Application Support Expert, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation of our enterprise applications. Your technical expertise and problem-solving skills will be instrumental in resolving complex technical issues, maintaining application integrity, and delivering exceptional support services to clients.
This challenging role involves providing Level 2 support for proprietary and third-party enterprise applications, including legacy systems. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, vendors, and clients to deliver high-quality support services while adhering to Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Provide expert-level support for enterprise applications, including troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues.
- Maintain and enhance application stability by addressing defects, patching vulnerabilities, and optimizing system performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, testing, and deployment groups, to ensure alignment and effective communication.
- Develop and maintain knowledge base articles, documentation, and training materials to facilitate skill transfer and knowledge sharing within the team.
- Participate in on-call rotations and perform out-of-hours maintenance activities as required, ensuring business continuity and minimizing downtime.
- Engage in continuous learning and professional development to stay up-to-date with emerging technologies, tools, and methodologies.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in IT service desk or application support roles, with solid exposure to incident, change, and problem management.
- Proven expertise in supporting enterprise-level applications, including legacy platforms developed using Visual Basic 6 and Microsoft Access.
- Strong experience within the Microsoft technology stack (.NET, IIS, Windows Server 2016/2019).
- Basic server administration and maintenance skills, including Linux server experience and understanding of shell scripts.
- Basic understanding of ETLs, apart from SAS, and experience working with other ETL software would be beneficial.
- Previous experience working with Business Intelligence or Data Warehousing teams.
- Excellent troubleshooting abilities, with the capability to resolve complex application issues efficiently.
- Effective time management and multitasking skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and manage competing priorities.
- Demonstrated ability to learn and apply new technologies quickly.
- Strong communication skills—both written and verbal—with a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
- Working knowledge of cloud, legacy systems, and cybersecurity fundamentals.
- Awareness of IT security best practices and customer data privacy requirements.
- Familiarity with ITSM frameworks and tools, including incident, problem, request, and change management.
- Hands-on experience using remote desktop protocols/tools (e.g., RDP, Remote Assistance, Citrix, or similar) to provide remote support.
- Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
