About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Family Support Worker to join our dynamic team in Camden. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in facilitating safe and meaningful family time for children and young people in the Permanency Support Program (Out of Home Care) with their families and significant others.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate family time and provide support to children and young people in the Permanency Support Program
  • Mentor children and young people in various settings
  • Provide written updates and reports, ensuring thorough communication and documentation

Requirements:

  • Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with others
  • Written communication skills, including the ability to write reports and complete formal documentation in relevant software programs
  • Individual and team work, with the ability to think quickly on your feet and make informed decisions in complex situations
  • Flexibility to work non-standard hours as required
  • Current NSW Working With Children Check, NDIS Workers Screening Check, and full COVID vaccination status
  • Driving License and possession of an Australian Driver's License
  • Qualification in Human Services, Certificate IV or Diploma in Community Services is highly desirable
