Job Opportunity: Clinical Education Specialist

This role is an integral part of a broader strategy to enhance education-focused academic capacity within the School of Clinical Medicine, with key responsibilities including teaching, curriculum development, and research leadership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teaching and Curriculum Development: Deliver high-quality teaching and coordinate curriculum development across campuses, ensuring seamless integration and effective student learning outcomes.
  • Research Leadership: Lead educational initiatives and contribute to the Undergraduate Medicine Program Redesign, driving innovation and excellence in medical education.
  • Clinical Teaching: Provide clinical teaching, educational leadership, and potentially a focus in Critical Care, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Student Support: Cultivate an inclusive learning environment that supports students from diverse backgrounds, promoting equity and inclusivity in education.
Requirements
  • Academic Qualifications: PhD in a related discipline or relevant work experience.
  • Medical Registration: Medical qualification registrable in NSW with specialist training, preferably in a Critical Care field.
  • Professional Development: Proven ability to stay up to date with discipline knowledge and developments, demonstrating adaptability and a commitment to lifelong learning.
  • Teaching Experience: Experience in teaching and learning design across undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels, showcasing expertise in pedagogy and curriculum development.
  • Research Background: Strong research track record with high-quality outputs and leadership potential, contributing to the advancement of medical education and practice.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication, networking, and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
