Program Facilitator for Young Adults with Disabilities (17-35, Low Support Needs)
Job Description
This is a rare opportunity to join a team at the forefront of change and help shape the future of an organisation making a profound difference in people's lives.
The Program Facilitator will lead one of our 20-week group programs, designing meaningful learning experiences, inspiring personal growth, and helping participants develop skills to move towards employment, independence, and a fulfilling adult life.
You'll work closely with a Program Assistant and be supported by a multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and structure a 20-week program around clear participant goals and learning outcomes
- Create engaging, inclusive sessions that combine theory with hands-on experiences
- Integrate digital tools to enhance learning
- Adapt content to diverse needs and support requirements
- Deliver high-quality, motivating sessions that promote independence, confidence, and real-world skill development
- Foster a fun, safe, and collaborative learning environment
- Use on-site and community-based experiences
- Promote active participation and peer connection
- Lead and mentor the Program Assistant(s)
- Share planning and vision, delegate tasks, provide constructive feedback
- Collaborate with other facilitators and the Program Manager to deliver high-impact programs
- Contribute to a positive workplace culture
- Track participant progress using Co-Hive's systems
- Provide feedback to participants and families
- Evaluate program effectiveness using data and feedback
- Maintain documentation to meet reporting and compliance standards
Required Skills and Qualifications
• Experience as an Educator or teaching experience is essential
• Experience delivering group learning or capacity-building programs (ideally for people with disability or in education/community settings)
• Background in Education or experience as a Program Facilitator
• Strong digital and planning skills - confident using Google Workspace, Canva, and AI
• Ability to adapt content and communication to different learning styles
• Participant-focused mindset that is empathetic, inclusive, and empowering
• Creative, proactive approach with a commitment to high standards
• Passion for innovation, inclusion, and lifelong learning
• Desirable Experience/Knowledge: Education or Training; Employment and Career Development; Sports and Fitness; Drama and Performing Arts; Horticulture or Animal Care; Hospitality and Tourism; Technology and Digital Media
