Opportunity for a Business-Focused Project Manager

Join the Victorian Government Team

The Victorian Government is seeking a skilled Business-Focused Project Manager to lead a 12-month funded program aimed at expediting the finalization of cases in the department's domestic building jurisdiction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish project artifacts, including a project initiation document, project plan, and key governance documents.
  • Provide advice on budget and program expenditure.
  • Develop and implement models to optimize case throughput and allocate resources efficiently.
  • Coordinate completion of key program activities in partnership with the client leadership.
  • Support decision-making by preparing briefings and meeting papers for key governance bodies.
  • Act as executive officer/secretariat for key governance bodies.

Required Skills:

  • Project management expertise.
  • Resource modeling skills, including Excel and Power BI.
  • Governance experience, including meeting support and brief writing.
  • Budget monitoring and briefing skills.
  • Business case development and briefing on benefits realization.
  • Business and data analysis skills.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Ability to develop predictive models to anticipate case outcomes, workloads, or bottlenecks.
  • Reporting and business intelligence background.
  • Experience in process management, business improvement, and process improvement.
