Job Title:

Senior Linux and UNIX Systems Administrator

Job Description:

This role is responsible for managing and supporting enterprise infrastructure across both on-premises and cloud environments.

  • The ideal candidate will have expertise in system administration, audit compliance, and end-user support.
Key Responsibilities:

System Administration: Administer IBM AIX and Linux systems across on-premises and cloud infrastructure. Perform OS hardening, patching, and configuration reviews.

Audit Compliance: Prepare SOC Type 2 audit evidence and technical documentation. Support internal and external audits with logs and artefacts.

End-User Support: Respond to incidents and service requests via Jira and internal queues. Provide daily support including password resets and access troubleshooting.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualifications in systems management or relevant enterprise experience in complex Unix IBM AIX and Linux environments.
  • 5+ years' experience in Linux and Unix server administration.
  • Expertise in IBM Power hardware, HMC, and LPAR management.
  • Familiarity with Active Directory, FortiGate Firewalls, and Rocket Software Web DE (a plus).
