Ayan Infotech is seeking a seasoned Linux System Engineer for an initial 3 months contract job opportunity in Melbourne.


About the Role

This position involves managing Red Hat Enterprise Linux systems, performance tuning of the operating system, kernel, and server hardware. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with configuration management through RedHat Satellite, Puppet, and Ansible.


Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain large environments of Linux technology solutions deployed using Centrify, NTP etc.
  • Monitor and manage day-to-day performance of all Linux servers.
  • Work with virtualization, networking devices, storage, and Microsoft Azure environments.

Qualifications
  • Expert level experience with performance tuning of the operating system, kernel, and server hardware.
  • Good working knowledge with configuration management through RedHat Satellite, Puppet, and Ansible.
  • Good working knowledge with Linux technology solution deployed in large environments like Centrify, NTP etc.
  • Working knowledge with day-to-day performance monitoring and managing incidents for all Linux servers.
  • Exposure with Infrastructure-as-Code either with or relatable to Puppet and Ansible.
  • Experience working in environments encompassing virtualization, networking devices, storage, and Microsoft Azure environments.
