What You'll Be Doing

We're seeking a seasoned Senior Linux & AIX Systems Administrator to manage and support enterprise infrastructure across both on-premises and cloud environments. You'll be responsible for system administration, audit compliance, and end-user support — all while contributing to a high-performing team and ensuring robust security across systems.

  • Administer IBM AIX and Linux systems across on-premises and cloud infrastructure
  • Perform OS hardening, patching, and configuration reviews
  • Manage IBM Power hardware (HMC, LPAR) and apply security best practices.

End-User & Operational Support

  • Respond to incidents and service requests via Jira and internal queues
  • Provide daily support including password resets and access troubleshooting
  • Maintain a customer-first approach in all interactions.
  • Work closely with IT teams and application owners
  • Own tasks independently while contributing to shared goals
  • Manage backups, restores, and network capacity planning

Audit & Compliance

  • Prepare SOC Type 2 audit evidence and technical documentation
  • Support internal and external audits with logs and artefacts

You're a tech-savvy problem solver with a passion for internal customer service and a collaborative mindset. You bring:

  • Tertiary qualifications and/or relevant enterprise experience in systems management in complex Unix IBM AIX and Linux environments
  • 5+ years' experience in Linux and Unix server administration
  • Expertise in IBM Power hardware, HMC, and LPAR management
  • Familiarity with Active Directory, FortiGate Firewalls, and Rocket Software Web DE (a plus)
  • Strong analytical thinking and sound judgment
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills across all levels of the business.
