Test Engineer Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Test Engineer to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals with a foundation in cybersecurity, systems engineering, or computer science who want to gain hands-on experience testing and evaluating secure systems in support of national security or enterprise IT missions.

This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to collaborate effectively with senior engineers. The ideal candidate will have experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell, and familiarity with Linux/Unix operating systems and system-level testing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in designing, developing, and executing test plans and procedures to assess cybersecurity posture and system functionality.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers to conduct vulnerability assessments, security testing, and system evaluations.
  • Execute tests in Linux/Unix-based environments, troubleshoot issues, and document results.
  • Support the automation of test processes using scripting languages.
  • Utilize CI/CD pipelines and Docker containers to streamline deployment and testing workflows.
  • Analyze test data, identify anomalies, and assist with root cause analysis.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Active Security Clearance required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Familiarity with Linux/Unix operating systems and system-level testing.
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and containerized environments using Docker.
  • Basic proficiency in C/C++ programming languages.
  • Hands-on experience with Git and collaborative software development tools.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity concepts, vulnerabilities, and compliance standards (e.g., NIST, STIGs).
