Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled medical professional to join our team as a Post-Graduate Fellow in Upper GI Surgery. The successful candidate will gain experience in oesophagogastric, HPB, and bariatric surgery, with advancement in laparoscopic techniques and some exposure to robotic surgery.

Responsibilities
  • Gain experience in upper GI surgery, including advanced laparoscopic and robotic procedures.
  • Support and coordinate registrars in surgical specialty departments.
  • Participate in surgical skill courses, clinical and basic research opportunities.
Requirements
  • Personal integrity and commitment to the philosophy of delivering high-quality patient care.
  • Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Fellowship of the RACS in General Surgery or equivalent, or have completed advanced surgical training intending to sit for the fellowship exam.
  • Evidence of Continuing Medical Education and self-monitoring/audit practices.
  • Sound clinical knowledge in Upper GI Surgery demonstrated through clinical practice and participation in quality assurance activities.
  • High level interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
