Role Overview

This is a role within the colorectal and upper GI surgery teams at a leading healthcare facility.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to experience elective and emergency general surgery in a private hospital environment, be mentored and work alongside senior consultants in colorectal and upper GI surgery, be exposed to a wide range of complex surgical cases including robotic surgery, develop research projects, participate in clinical trials, supervise and train students, residents and other Doctors in Training, contribute to educational and research activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical services in the colorectal and upper GI surgery teams.
  • Experience elective and emergency general surgery in a private hospital environment.
  • Be mentored and work alongside senior consultants in colorectal and upper GI surgery.
  • Be exposed to a wide range of complex surgical cases including robotic surgery.
  • Develop research projects and manuscripts.
  • Participate in research projects and clinical trials.
  • Supervise and train students, residents and other Doctors in Training.
  • Contribute to educational and research activities.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong clinical skills in general surgery.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
