Upper GI Surgery Specialist

This is a part-time position in the public hospital for the 2026 Clinical Year. It would suit a surgical fellow/general surgeon looking to gain more experience in upper GI surgery.
Key Responsibilities and Expectations- Work with medical leaders to manage, support, and coordinate registrars in surgical specialty departments.
- Participate in skill courses and opportunities for clinical and basic research in Upper GI Surgery.
- Possess or be eligible for registration with the relevant health authority.
- Possess Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS) in General Surgery or equivalent qualification.
- Evidence of Continuing Professional Development and self-assessment practices aligned with scope of practice.
- Sound clinical knowledge in Upper GI Surgery demonstrated through clinical practice and participation in quality assurance activities.
- High-level interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Commitment to teaching and junior medical staff supervision.
