Upper GI Surgery Fellowship Opportunity
This is a part-time position in the public sector, working in collaboration with St Vincent's Public and Private Hospital. The successful candidate will gain exposure to a wide range of upper GI surgery procedures including oesophagogastric, HPB, bariatric surgery and advanced laparoscopic surgery.
Key Responsibilities:- Work closely with the Director Medical Services and the Director of Surgical Training to manage, support and coordinate registrars in surgical specialty departments.
- Participate in surgical skill courses and opportunities for clinical and basic research.
- Possess registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Possess fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS) in General Surgery or equivalent as provided for in relevant legislation and awards.
- Demonstrate sound clinical knowledge in Upper GI Surgery through clinical practice and participation in quality assurance activities.
- Demonstrate high level interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
- Show commitment to teaching and junior medical staff supervision.
