- Job Description:">
This is an exciting opportunity for a Surgical Fellow/General Surgeon to gain experience in Upper GI Surgery.
">The successful candidate will work with the Director Medical Services and the Director of Surgical Training to manage, support and coordinate registrars in surgical specialty departments.
">They will also participate in surgical skill courses, quality assurance activities, and have opportunities for clinical and basic research.
">">Required Skills and Qualifications:">The ideal candidate will possess or be eligible for registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
">They will have Fellowship of the RACS in General Surgery or equivalent, as well as evidence of Continuing Medical Education and self-monitoring/audit practices.
">Sound clinical knowledge in Upper GI Surgery, demonstrated through clinical practice and participation in quality assurance activities, is also essential.
">Strong interpersonal and communication skills, as well as the ability to work within a multidisciplinary team, are required.
">A commitment to teaching and supervision of junior medical staff is also necessary.
