Leading Surgeon for Upper GI Specialist Team

This is a 12-month temporary part-time role that offers the opportunity to gain experience in upper GI surgery.
The successful candidate will work closely with registrars and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care.
The role involves participating in surgical skill courses, clinical and basic research opportunities, and supporting and coordinating registrars in surgical specialty departments.
- Gain experience in advanced laparoscopic and robotic procedures.
- Develop sound clinical knowledge in Upper GI Surgery through clinical practice and quality assurance activities.
- Promote a positive working environment and contribute to teaching and junior medical staff supervision.
- Eligibility for registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS) in General Surgery or equivalent.
- Sound clinical knowledge and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to Continuing Medical Education and self-monitoring/audit practices.
- Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team and communicate effectively.
- Temporary, part-time role for 12 months.
