Job Opportunity: Strategic HR Director

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic HR Director to lead our HR function as part of our senior management team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing an overall human resource management strategy that aligns with our organisation's goals and objectives.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage the overall human resource management strategy for the organisation
  • Provide advice and assistance to management on human resources issues
  • Enhance current policies and implement new ones to ensure best practice
  • Link people initiatives to the Organisational Development strategy
  • Recruitment activities
  • Oversee Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) and return to work functions
  • Implement new learning and development initiatives

Requirements:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in human resource management or a related discipline
  • Previous experience in generalist HR management
  • Strong recruitment and retention skills
  • Learning and development focus
  • Experience in overseeing safety management
  • Ability to create and enhance effective policies, procedures and staff communications
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
