Export Team Leader – Eagle Farm QLD

As a vital member of our Global Forwarding team, you will play a key role in enabling sustainable, global supply chains. The Role –

As the Export Team Leader, you will be the key liaison between our company and our valued customers, ensuring that our export services are not just met but exceeded. You will lead a dedicated team of export operations staff and manage the daily activities that keep our export processes running smoothly.

You will act as the daily interface between TGF and the customer in delivering a seamless and professional service that meets and exceeds the customers' expectations. To act as the Export Team Leader of the Export Operations staff, this is achieved by delivering performance in the following 5 key result areas (KRAs); Strategy & Capability, Growth & Innovation, Operational Excellence, Maximising Profitability and Putting the Customer First.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee Ocean & Air Freight Operations: Manage bookings, coordinate shipments, and follow up on documentation to ensure timely and efficient delivery.
  • Coordinate Shipments: Work with transport providers, shipping lines, airlines, and destination representatives to keep everything on track.
  • Track and Acquit Shipments: Handle both domestic and international movements, ensuring all shipments are accurately tracked and processed.
  • Quote Management: Provide quotes for new and existing business opportunities and ensure they are updated in CargoWise.
  • Client Service: Review and respond to internal and external service reports, and assist in client implementation plans, including SOPs and stakeholder briefings.
  • Problem Solving: Identify potential issues and provide proactive solutions. Handle 'Moments of Truth' and resolve issues to clients' satisfaction.
  • Cost Efficiency: Identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve service delivery.
  • Leadership: Lead and mentor staff on operational activities, ensuring adherence to safety, policies, and compliance requirements.

What you'll need to succeed –

  • In-depth knowledge of global forwarding operations, import/export market trends, and strong experience with CargoWise.
  • Proven ability to handle customer interactions with a strong service ethic.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills with a results-oriented approach.
  • Effective team leadership with a focus on performance and process improvement.
