Hotel Night Auditor Job Description

The Night Auditor is a key role in the hotel's front desk operations. This individual is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the hotel's front desk during the night shift.

  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Provide exceptional customer service to guests, including check-in and check-out processes, guest inquiries, and resolving any concerns or issues.
    • Process guest payments and ensure accurate billing information is recorded in the system.
    • Secure the lobby area and maintain a peaceful environment for guests during night hours.
  • Night Audit and Accounting Functions:
    • Perform nightly audits to ensure all transactions are correctly posted and balanced in the hotel's property management system.
    • Review and verify the accuracy of guest folios and charge transactions for the day.
    • Reconcile the daily revenue report and ensure all financial transactions are properly documented and balanced.
  • Qualifications and Skills:
    • High school diploma or equivalent required.
    • Previous experience in hotel front desk, accounting, or customer service preferred.
    • Basic understanding of accounting principles and the ability to perform basic financial reconciliation.
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently during overnight hours.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on guest satisfaction.
