Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Guest Relations Officer to join our team at Marriott International. As a key member of our Executive Lounge team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and creating memorable experiences for our guests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the Executive Lounge is prepared for service, including completing opening preparation and pack-down duties.
  • Warmly greet all guests upon arrival and bid farewell upon departure, providing a personalized and welcoming experience.
  • Answer incoming phone calls to the Executive Lounge and respond to guest inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Alert the kitchen to replenish food and beverage items and complete food and beverage requisition for the next day's delivery.
  • Restock, refill, and clear counters and tables at the end of every shift, maintaining a clean and organized environment.
  • Maintain a positive inter-departmental relationship through the hotel and with outside vendors, promoting a collaborative and supportive work environment.
  • Abide by NSW Responsible Service of Alcohol when serving alcohol to guests and ensure that all guests are served with utmost courtesy.
  • Inspect and maintain the overall cleanliness and appearance of the Executive Lounge, including temperature, lighting, and music.
  • Communicate VIP arrivals to designated personnel for escort and delivery of amenities, and deliver food and beverage amenities to guests' rooms daily as instructed.

  • Energizing motivation, with a desire to be the best in service and create memorable experiences for our guests.
  • Food and beverage experience, with knowledge of responsible service of alcohol and Australian working rights.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on teamwork and collaboration.
  • Commitment to maintaining a clean and organized work environment, with attention to detail and a focus on quality.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with guests and colleagues, with a focus on clear and professional language.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others, supporting the team to reach common goals.
  • Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards, identifying and recommending new ideas to increase organizational efficiency and productivity.
