Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop strong relationships with residents, providing emotional support and guidance as needed.
  • Collaborate with the team lead and support staff to develop resident support plans and deliver services.
  • Maintain a safe and welcoming environment, performing wellness checks and distributing harm reduction supplies.
  • Participate in crisis intervention, conflict resolution, and educational group methods to resolve identified problems.
  • Record accurate statistics and provide reports to supervisors as required.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Training in non-violent crisis intervention techniques and harm reduction approaches.
  • Knowledge of community resources and services available to shelter users and residents.
  • Ability to work independently, show initiative, and communicate effectively with clients and coworkers.
