The Senior Strategy Manager plays a pivotal role in bridging strategic planning with operational execution, fostering an integrated approach to Virgin Australia's transformation.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and support the development of Virgin Australia's corporate strategy plan, incorporating integrated planning considerations.
- Conduct advanced financial and business case modeling for planning initiatives, providing data-driven insights.
- Analyze aviation economics and competitive landscape implications for planning decisions, informing strategic choices.
- Provide thought leadership for strategic planning projects across the organization, driving innovation and growth.
- Apply critical strategic thinking to inform short, medium, and long-term planning decisions, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Construct senior management and executive-level presentation materials for planning initiatives, effectively communicating key findings.
- Help embed organizational strategy within integrated planning processes, promoting seamless execution.
- Support initiative prioritization within the team and broader organization, optimizing resource allocation.
- Provide ad-hoc decision support for high-stakes planning decisions, offering expert guidance.
- Tackle large data sets, using analysis to develop meaningful insights for planning decisions, driving informed action.
- Track metrics and targets to measure planning success and efficiency improvements, evaluating progress.
- Tertiary qualifications in business, commercial, or engineering disciplines, with a Master's level degree/MBA highly desirable.
- 6+ years of experience in Management Consulting or Corporate Strategy roles, preferably at Tier 1 firms, developing expertise.
- Advanced financial and business case modeling skills, including proficiency in Excel.
- Highly developed communication and presentation skills, with executive-level communication abilities, engaging audiences.
- Commercial acumen and strategic thinking capability, making informed decisions.
- Creative and focused approach to problem-solving, driving results.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, including advanced modeling skills in Excel, delivering insights.
- Ability to influence and communicate at all organizational levels, building relationships.
- Strategic planning and corporate strategy development experience, driving organizational success.
