About the Role:

As an Operations and Development Specialist, you will be at the forefront of coordinating environmental and government approvals, playing a key part in supporting Rio Tinto's success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing optimised approvals strategies that effectively deliver approvals across an extensive portfolio of mines, rail, port, infrastructure, and renewables.
  • Enhancing and improving systems and processes to effectively report on approvals updates.
  • Reviewing policy and reform initiatives to provide advice and inform submissions.

Requirements:

  • A strong understanding of the Government approvals framework relevant to the resource sector.
  • Experience in working within approvals systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver system improvements and lead change management processes.
