Key Account Manager Job Description

This role involves managing a portfolio of international fashion and accessory brands, focusing on building strong relationships with customers to drive sales.

The Key Account Manager plays a pivotal part in driving sales across large wholesale accounts by creating effective promotional calendars and sales plans, fostering collaborative partnerships with customers.

Main Responsibilities
  • Manage sales performance across a significant portfolio of wholesale accounts.
  • Build and maintain strong professional relationships with key buyers, planners, and senior stakeholders.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies that drive sell-through and meet customer needs.
  • Analyse sales data to identify opportunities and optimise sales tactics.
  • Secure product orders and influence assortment decisions through effective communication and negotiation.
  • Coordinate incentives, in-store training, and marketing activations to support sales growth.
  • Regularly travel to key markets to meet customers and staff.
  • Provide regular feedback, forecasts, and reports to the head office.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in key account management or wholesale sales.
  • A background in lifestyle, fashion, or accessories with international brands.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and credibility at senior buyer/planner level.
  • Commercial acumen to identify opportunities and drive growth.
  • Confident presenter and negotiator, able to influence decisions.
  • A proactive, results-driven operator who delivers against targets.
  • Flexibility to travel interstate to build partnerships.
