About the Role

The APAC TBM Council Leader is a key position within IBM, responsible for driving the growth and adoption of the TBM (Technology Business Management) discipline in the Asia-Pacific region. This role requires a strategic visionary who can develop and execute a comprehensive plan to expand the TBM Council's presence in the region, fostering a strong community of practitioners and thought leaders.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Strategic Leadership: Provide executive-level guidance and oversight to the TBM Council's operations in APAC, ensuring alignment with IBM's global strategy and goals.
  2. Community Development: Foster a vibrant and engaged community of TBM practitioners, thought leaders, and industry experts in APAC, through various initiatives such as events, webinars, and content creation.
  3. Thought Leadership: Establish and maintain a strong thought leadership presence in the region, through publications, speaking engagements, and other channels, to promote the TBM discipline and IBM's expertise.
  4. Relationship Building: Develop and maintain critical relationships with key stakeholders, including CIOs, IT leaders, and industry partners, to drive adoption and growth of the TBM Council in APAC.
  5. Operational Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the TBM Council in APAC, including budgeting, resource allocation, and performance management.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 10+ years of experience in a high-tech, SaaS, or B2B company, with a strong background in IT, operations, and product management.
  • Deep understanding of the TBM model and discipline, with experience working with both leaders and practitioners of TBM.
  • Proven track record of building and leading high-performing teams, with a strong focus on community development and thought leadership.
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills, with the ability to engage with C-level executives and industry thought leaders.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a global environment, with a strong understanding of the Asia-Pacific market and culture.
