About the Role

Bay Building Services is a market leader when it comes to insurance building in Australia, operating offices throughout VIC, NSW, QLD, SA, WA, TAS & ACT. For more than 30 years we have specialised in repairs to domestic and commercial properties damaged through insurable events such as fire, storm, flood, impact and malicious damage. Our experienced and dynamic team understands the complexities involved with the insurance repair process.

The Construction Manager will be responsible for leading the estimating and delivery side of the operations. Work will include multiple small, medium to large domestic and commercial construction repairs. Working closely with Project Coordinator and Supervisor, the Construction Manager will oversee the timely completion of budget breakdowns for the tender process, then working onsite to deliver timely and service focused repairs.

The Construction Manager will have multiple projects and will be ultimately responsible for all site based operations such as quality assurance, customer service and delivery of budgets and construction schedules. The role involves working closely with State Operations Managers and company Directors.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Solid construction supervision experience in small, medium to large, domestic and commercial construction repairs.
  • Proven skills in construction estimating for building repairs to both domestic and commercial properties.
  • Experience working directly with clients, building consultants, trades and suppliers.
  • Thorough understanding of the construction process, critical inspection points, permit and WHS requirements.
  • Ability to interpret plans and engineers drawings.
  • Understanding of relevant Building codes and Australian standards.
