Student Wellbeing Officer

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Box Hill Institute as a Student Wellbeing Officer. This part-time position is based at our Nelson Campus in Box Hill and involves providing holistic support services to students.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide individualised support and liaison services to students, addressing their welfare and academic needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, managers, and administrative staff to ensure student success and retention.
- Develop and implement effective intervention strategies to address student challenges.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to legislative requirements when dealing with sensitive student information.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A relevant degree in Youth Work, Community Services, Social Work, or Counselling.
- Eligibility for membership with relevant professional associations (e.g., ACA, AASW).
- Demonstrated experience in providing counselling, welfare, or youth work services to vulnerable student groups.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Capacity to work effectively in a team environment and contribute to the development of a supportive learning community.
