Koorie Student Support Coordinator

Box Hill Institute is seeking a motivated and experienced Koorie Student Support Officer to join our team. As a key member of our Student Life team, you will play a critical role in supporting the success and retention of Indigenous students.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide targeted support and guidance to Indigenous students to help them achieve their academic and personal goals.
- Work closely with teachers, managers, and other stakeholders to identify and address the needs of Indigenous students.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve student retention and success rates among Indigenous students.
- Provide cultural support and guidance to students, staff, and visitors to promote a culturally safe and inclusive environment.

Requirements
- A relevant post-secondary qualification in education, program delivery, business, community, youth work, welfare, counselling, or equivalent.
- Relevant experience working with Aboriginal people and communities.
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge of Koorie culture and history.
- Ability to build relationships with Indigenous students, staff, and external stakeholders.
