Job DescriptionThis is a part-time opportunity for an experienced counsellor to join our team at Box Hill Institute. The successful candidate will provide mental health counselling services to students, working collaboratively with the broader student life team and external stakeholders.
The role involves facilitating successful learning outcomes and enriching personal and social well-being through various counselling strategies and modes. Our ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering an outstanding student experience in a welcoming, collaborative, and respectful environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide short-term psychological counselling to students using evidence-based approaches
- Work autonomously and cooperatively in a team environment to foster a culture of student satisfaction and continuous service improvement
- Maintain strong professional relationships within and external to the institution
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Psychology or Social Work and registration with AHPRA or eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers
- Expertise in providing counselling services to diverse populations with varying complexities, including mental health issues
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a dynamic and multidisciplinary team
