Job Title: Aboriginal Community Liaison Officer
About the Role:This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a dedicated and passionate Aboriginal Community Liaison Officer. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in establishing and maintaining relationships with Aboriginal community members, leaders, and elders.
The successful applicant will be responsible for developing and maintaining a network of contacts to strengthen cooperation and communication between our organization and the Aboriginal community. You will also provide advice and support to commands on local Aboriginal issues, assist with policing matters, and engage with statutory bodies.
In this challenging yet rewarding role, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of Aboriginal community members and contribute to the growth and development of our organization.
Key Responsibilities:- Developing and maintaining relationships with Aboriginal community members, leaders, and elders.
- Providing advice and support to commands on local Aboriginal issues.
- Assisting with policing matters and engaging with statutory bodies.
- Aboriginality is a genuine occupational qualification.
- A Working With Children Check is mandatory for this role.
- Must sign a Prohibited Employment Declaration as part of NSW Child Protection requirements.
This role attracts a fortnightly Special Remote Allowance and offers opportunities for career advancement and professional growth. The successful applicant will also have access to training and development programs to enhance their skills and knowledge.
