About The Role

This is a unique opportunity for an experienced and dedicated individual to join our team as a Male Health Practitioner.

Key Responsibilities

  • To liaise with clients, clinic staff, and external health services to provide effective care coordination and referrals.
  • Deliver culturally appropriate health education and promotion activities to the community.
  • Monitor and report on Aboriginal health needs and support public health programs implementation.
  • To work closely with General Practitioners and clinic staff in healthcare planning and primary care tasks.
  • Collect and manage health data for service delivery improvement.
  • Buildeffective relationships with clients and promote healthy lifestyles.
  • Ensure effective communication and continuous improvement across health services.
  • Engage clients in screenings, tests, and follow-up care as needed.

Mandatory Requirements

  • Certificate of Aboriginality.
  • Identification as Male.
  • Certificate IV in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care (Practice).
  • Previous experience in Aboriginal Health is highly preferred.
  • Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of specialist medical, allied health, and support services locally.
  • Australian Drivers Licence.
  • Working With Children Check.
  • Proof of COVID vaccination.
  • National Criminal Record Check.
