
Community Engagement Coordinator

We are seeking a dedicated Program Facilitator to work in Dubbo, driving the success of our programs and facilitating workshops for school students and learner drivers.
This role requires a deep understanding of the community's needs and effective engagement with diverse stakeholders. A good understanding of culture is also essential.
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in delivering sessions to Aboriginal students, maintaining respectful relationships, incorporating local knowledge into activities, identifying employment opportunities, and supporting participants with training and employment activities.
Duties:
- Deliver Sessions: Deliver Bro Speak sessions to Aboriginal students in partner schools.
- Maintain Relationships: Maintain a respectful and trust-based relationship with community members.
- Culture Incorporation: Incorporate local Aboriginal knowledge, protocols and practices in our activities.
- Job Placement: Identify and promote employment opportunities.
- Training Support: Assist participants with training and employment activities that align with their Career Plan.
- Practical Assistance: Support the practical elements of pre-employment activities including digital literacy, job applications, mock interviews, job search seminars, etc.
- Barrier Identification: Respectfully identify and assist with facilitating solutions to barriers to full participation for individuals.
- Licence Assistance: Assist participants to take the learner's tests and other activities associated with gaining a driver's licence.
Requirements:
- Clearance Checks: Must be able to pass Police Check and Working with Children check.
- Driver Requirements: Have a full driver's licence and vehicle.
