Medical Disputes Specialist

We are seeking a Medical Disputes Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing medical disputes and ensuring compliance with legislation and regulations.

As a Medical Disputes Specialist, you will:

  • Identify and evaluate individual and organisational development needs
  • Deliver individual and group learning and development programs
  • Manage key stakeholder expectations and allocate appropriate resources
  • Negotiate terms with external providers and ensure high-quality service delivery

You will also work closely with Claims Managers to deliver fair, reasonable, and sustainable claims decisions.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • More than 5 years of demonstrated experience in a similar CTP Medical Disputes or Injury Management Specialists role
  • Sound medical knowledge (with a background in medical science, physiotherapy, chiropractic, allied health, rehabilitation, or similar)
  • Training and experience in assessing WPI in accordance with AMA 4 and the Psychiatric Impairment Rating Scale (PIRS)
  • Experience managing internal and external (PIC) medical disputes, including drafting applications, replies, and submissions
