Medical Dispute Resolution Specialist

We are seeking a Medical Dispute Resolution Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in managing medical disputes, focusing on causation, threshold injury, and Whole Person Impairment (WPI). Your expertise will ensure compliance with legislation, regulations, and internal Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), driving outcomes that matter in Common Law claims.
The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in a similar CTP Medical Disputes or Injury Management Specialists role, working within a fast-paced business environment. Sound medical knowledge, particularly in medical science, physiotherapy, chiropractic, allied health, rehabilitation or similar, is highly advantageous. Additionally, training and experience in assessing WPI in accordance with AMA 4 and the Psychiatric Impairment Rating Scale (PIRS) is essential.
A strong written and verbal communication skillset, along with a collaborative approach supporting Claims Managers to deliver fair, reasonable and sustainable claims decisions, is also required.
This role requires an individual who can identify and evaluate individual and organisational development needs, deliver individual and group learning and development programs, expand and hone our Medical Disputes capability, clarify and manage key stakeholder expectations, negotiate terms with external providers, and ensure high quality service and delivery.
