Job Description:

As a Medical Disputes Specialist, you will play a vital role in resolving medical disputes and ensuring fair compensation for injured individuals.

The Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a specialist in managing CTP medical disputes. Your expertise will be instrumental in identifying causation, threshold injury, and Whole Person Impairment (WPI).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessing individual and organisational development needs;
  • Drafting applications, replies and submissions for internal and external medical disputes;
  • Negotiating terms with external providers and ensuring high quality service and delivery;
  • Ensuring appropriate attention, management and prevention of risk and governance;
  • Reporting and discussing emerging risks with the Legal Manager.

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years demonstrated experience in a similar CTP Medical Disputes or Injury Management Specialists role;
  • Sound medical knowledge, training and experience in assessing WPI in accordance with AMA 4 and the Psychiatric Impairment Rating Scale (PIRS);
  • A collaborative approach, supporting Claims Managers to deliver fair, reasonable and sustainable claims decisions.
