Dispute Resolution Specialist Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced specialist to manage CTP medical disputes, focusing on causation, threshold injury, and Whole Person Impairment (WPI).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing internal and external medical disputes, including drafting applications, replies, and submissions;
  • Assessing WPI in accordance with AMA 4 and the Psychiatric Impairment Rating Scale (PIRS);
  • Negotiating terms with external providers and ensuring high-quality service delivery; and
  • Identifying, reporting, and discussing emerging risks with the Legal Manager.

Requirements:

  • MORE THAN 5+ YEARS DEMONSTRATED EXPERIENCE IN A SIMILAR CTP MEDICAL DISPUTES OR INJURY MANAGEMENT SPECIALISTS ROLE, WORKING WITHIN A FAST-PACED BUSINESS ENVIRONMENT;
  • SOUND MEDICAL KNOWLEDGE (WITH A BACKGROUND IN MEDICAL SCIENCE, PHYSIOTHERAPY, CHIROPRACTIC, ALLIED HEALTH, REHABILITATION OR SIMILAR BEING ADVANTAGEOUS);
  • TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE IN ASSESSING WPI IN ACCORDANCE WITH AMA 4 AND THE PSYCHIATRIC IMPAIRMENT RATING SCALE (PIRS);
  • EXPERIENCE MANAGING INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL (PIC) MEDICAL DISPUTES;
  • STRONG WRITTEN AND VERBAL COMMUNICATION SKILLS;
  • A COLLABORATIVE APPROACH, SUPPORTING CLAIMS MANAGERS TO DELIVER FAIR, REASONABLE, AND SUSTAINABLE CLAIMS DECISIONS.
