EXCEPTIONAL OPPORTUNITY FOR A SOUS CHEF

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Sous Chef to join the renowned Gold Coast restaurant, Edgewater Dining & Isla Cantina at the Isle of Capri.

Working closely with the Hospitality Operations Manager and Head Chef, the Sous Chef will assist with the day-to-day running of the kitchen operations ensuring the highest quality and consistency of food, along with:

  • Providing hands-on motivational leadership and structure in the kitchen.
  • Lead and inspire the kitchen team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Manage food and labour costs to achieve budgetary goals while maintaining exceptional standards.
  • Working closely with and supporting the management team to ensure guest expectations are exceeded.

YOUR BACKGROUND

  • A love of food and a drive for excellence.
  • A great attitude and attention to detail.
  • Exceptional communication skills & work ethic.
  • A positive and proactive attitude and team focus.
  • Creative flair and willingness to learn and teach.
  • Ability to lead a team and manage service in the absence of the Head Chef.
  • Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent.
  • Prior experience in similar role.
