Job Overview

This part-time role is designed for a highly organized and skilled professional to manage financial systems, forecasting, and project accounting.



Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the monthly invoicing cycle for all projects
  • Ensure accurate entry of new project proposals into Xero
  • Review weekly staff timesheets to confirm hours billed
  • Track and allocate costs appropriately within project accounting
  • Link invoices to the correct projects
  • Manage project variations and close completed projects
  • Conduct financial deep-dives with Project Directors
  • Develop and maintain project financial tracking spreadsheets
  • Including invoice reconciliation and progress tracking
  • Prepare monthly financial reports for management using Xero
  • Assist in strategic financial forecasting


Requirements
  • Proven experience in financial management, preferably in design, consulting, or architecture
  • Strong proficiency in Xero and Excel
  • Experience working with consultants and managing sub-consultant finances
  • Confident in preparing and interpreting financial reports
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • A collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively with teams
  • Ability to implement new systems or software as required
  • Must hold a current visa with work rights in Australia
