Job Opportunity: Financial Manager

This is a part-time opportunity for a skilled financial manager to oversee the financial aspects of our organization.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the monthly invoicing cycle for all projects
  • Accurately enter new project proposals into Xero
  • Review weekly staff timesheets to confirm hours billed
  • Track and allocate costs appropriately in project accounting
  • Link invoices to the correct projects
  • Manage project variations and close completed projects
  • Conduct financial deep-dives with management
  • Develop and maintain project financial tracking spreadsheets
  • Including invoice reconciliation and progress tracking
  • Prepare monthly financial reports for management using Xero
  • Assist in broader strategic financial forecasting with guidance from management

Requirements:
  • Proven experience in financial management, preferably within a design or consulting environment
  • Strong proficiency in Xero and Excel
  • Experience working with consultants and managing sub-consultant financials
  • Confident in preparing and interpreting financial reports
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • A collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively with teams
  • Willingness to implement new systems or software as required
  • Ability to manage and meet financial deadlines for multiple complex projects
  • Must hold a current visa with work rights in Australia
