Laboratory Scientist Position

This role is a great opportunity to work in a dynamic laboratory environment, supporting our operations by ensuring quality and safety through beverage and in-process sample testing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate records of laboratory equipment calibration and servicing.
  • Manage sampling, preparation, and testing according to established methods and standards.
  • Deliver timely analytical results and escalate non-conformance and safety issues promptly.
  • Support the development of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and training for laboratory processes.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, drive operational improvements, and maintain a safe working environment.
Requirements:
  • A tertiary degree in chemistry or a related field, along with proven experience in an analytical chemist capacity, preferably within the food, beverage, pharmaceutical, or related industry.
  • Proficiency in data analysis, statistical tools, and technical report writing is essential.
  • Skilled in maintaining and calibrating lab equipment, including HPLC/GC systems.
  • Organized, detail-focused, with strong communication skills and ability to manage multiple priorities autonomously.
  • Familiarity with OHSE standards for laboratories and ISO/IEC 17025 compliance is desirable.
