We are seeking a skilled Analytical Chemist to manage and maintain critical laboratory instruments while supporting the daily operations of a busy research lab.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain key analytical instruments such as ion chromatography, carbon analyser, potentiometric titrator.
- Monitor instrument performance using quality assurance tools like control charts and logbooks.
- Troubleshoot equipment and assist in resolving performance or data issues.
- Support laboratory safety and implement process improvements.
- Manage spare parts and consumables.
- Perform general laboratory and facilities upkeep.
- Assist with proficiency testing activities such as sample splitting.
- Contribute to supervised technical projects as capacity allows.
- Bachelor of Science in Chemistry or related field.
- 2-3 years experience in an analytical laboratory.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of QA/QC processes and statistical analysis.
- Proficiency in MS Office, SharePoint, and Excel including macros.
- Valid C Class Licence.
