Job Title

Clinical Laboratory Scientist I Overview:

CareDx is a leading precision medicine solutions company focused on the discovery, development, and commercialization of clinically differentiated, high-value healthcare solutions for transplant patients and caregivers. Our team is dedicated to improving the lives of organ transplant patients worldwide.

  • Perform testing in the CLIA-certified laboratory
  • Participate in quality control, quality assurance and troubleshooting activities

Responsibilities:

  • Handle and process patient samples
  • Prepare reports and maintain records of test results
  • Comply with quality control policies and document QC activities
  • Maintain confidentiality of personal health information
  • Identify problems that may affect test performance or results
  • Document corrective actions taken when test systems deviate from established performance specifications
  • Teach/train employees on CareDx policy, methods and techniques
  • Participate in drafting and developing standard operating procedures
  • Represent the Reference lab testing, quality control and quality assurance program in interactions with other groups
  • Investigate and follow-up on proficiency testing, quality control results and patient testing that does not meet standards

Qualifications:

  • California Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) license
  • BS/BA in a biology-related science
  • At least 1-6 years of experience performing high-complexity testing in a clinical laboratory
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of programs
  • Demonstrated analytical skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with CareDx employees at all levels as well as customers and vendors

Experience Requirements:

  • CLS, I: 0-2 years of licensed clinical laboratory experience
  • CLS, II: 3-5 years of licensed clinical laboratory experience
  • CLS, III: 6 + years of licensed experience
  • Lead: Must have a minimum of 2 years of licensed clinical laboratory experience
  • Supervisor: Meet requirements of Lead role described above
