Job Title

Perform high-complexity testing and contribute to the success of our team as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist.

Responsibilities:

  • Handle and process patient samples, analyze test results, prepare reports, and maintain records of test results.
  • Accession samples into the laboratory information management system (LIMS) to facilitate sample throughput.
  • Comply with quality control policies and document QC activities, including instrument and procedural calibrations and maintenance.
  • Maintain confidentiality of personal health information (PHI).
  • Identify problems that may affect test performance or results and correct problems according to established protocols or escalate to a supervisor.
  • Document corrective actions taken when test systems deviate from established performance specifications.

Qualifications:

  • Hold a California Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) license.
  • Have a BS/BA in a biology-related science.
  • Have at least 1-6 years of experience performing high-complexity testing in a clinical laboratory.
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office suite programs.
  • Have demonstrated analytical skills, including working with databases and Excel.
  • Have strong interpersonal skills and be able to build effective working relationships with employees, customers, and vendors.
