Job Summary

Arcadis is seeking a Senior Proposal Strategist to join our team in Australia. This role will be responsible for managing strategic pursuits and proposals, improving consistency, quality, and outcome of pursuit processes, and ensuring proposal preparation meets high standards.

About the Role

This senior-level position reports directly to the Commercial Enablement Manager – Australia. The main responsibilities include providing assistance in strategy and planning processes, overseeing proposal quality, driving improvements in proposal management processes, writing compelling non-technical elements, and contributing to sales meetings.

Key Accountabilities
  1. Strategy and Planning: Assist in gathering market and project intelligence, assembling teams, preparing organizational charts, organizing and facilitating pursuit meetings, and participating in strategy discussions.
  2. Proposal Oversight: Provide oversight into the quality and consistency of proposals, taking into account lessons learned to improve strike rates and compliance with best-practice proposal strategies.
  3. Process Improvement: Look for and drive improvements in our proposal management processes, ensuring any best practices are filtered back to the business and sales team.
  4. Writing and Collaboration: Write compelling non-technical elements and assist with technical elements of proposals as required, contribute to sales meetings with Pursuit Managers and Business Leaders.
  5. Client Engagement: Engage with Clients in pursuit, including during the proposal period and via post-submission debriefs to continuously improve proposal strategies.
  6. Team Development: Contribute to developing a high-performing team in Manila to support the business, providing feedback, proposal reviews, coaching, and guidance.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Ability to work as part of a team, influencing and working with the business to get things done.
  • Knowledge of Arcadis or consulting engineering pursuit processes.
  • Experience in the support and execution of major pursuit processes.
  • Well-organized with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Professional approach and presentation to clients (internal/external).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent influencing and relationship-building skills, both internally and externally.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to develop a business network.
  • Responsiveness and receptive agility.
  • Commitment to Arcadis Strategy and Vision.
Salary Range

The estimated annual salary for this role is between $120,000 - $150,000 AUD, depending on experience and qualifications.
